A poll by the Pew Institute recently found that Rush has the most intelligent audience for talk radio. For tv it belongs to Fox News.
For the liberals I'll clarify that means the most intelligent audiences are conservative and Republican.

Not any more than "smart democrat."
The issues that I agree with the republicans on require more thought & research than most liberals (at least on this site) are willing to give.
Take the issue of food stamps.
Liberals say "Food stamps feed starving people. Let's have more programs like food stamps."
Conservatives say "Too much of the money in the Food Stamp program goes to running the program (35%, or 12 billion), instead to helping the people who really need it. And too much Food Stamp money goes to people who don't really need it. If all the money that goes to the food stamp program went to private charities instead, 9 billion more dollars would be going to help the poor, theyed get it more quickly & less fraud would take place.
More social help programs need to be in the hands of charity instead of in the hands of bureaocrats."
Which ever side you agree with, it is clear, in this instance at least, that the conservative side is more thought out.

Would you recognize a smart person if you saw them? Probably haven't been out of school long enough. If Republicans are so stupid, explain to me how they manage to control most of the political arena, most of the financial markets, and most of the military. While the "SMART" Democrats control the ?????
That's right the education system. Which is how you could come up with such genius. Hope my kids aren't smart like you!

I said that very thing in one of my answers the other night.
But, seriously, I have met intelligent Republicans; I just don't know how they could honestly "get behind" Dubya. They have to be embarrassed by the prez, I would think.
I think that the two-party system will eventually be Conservatives and Liberals. But, I think that we should do away the "system" all together.
