my husband and I are moving to Las Vegas, Nv we will be arriving on Nov 6th and we like an apartment/condo in that specific area. Is it a decent low crime area?

Actually not all of north las vegas is high on crime. My parents live on cheyenne and commerce by republic services and its not to bad. Its better then living on oakey or bruce st. As far as nellis and oasis lane its pretty descent. If possible I would also try and stay away from nellis and any street. Try henderson, I live on horizon ridge (black mountain) and I love it. Rent is affordable and everyone looks out for each other.

STAY AWAY from North Las Vegas, especially around Nellis AFB!! It's not a nice area - crime wise. You're better off in Summerlin or in West or South LV. Henderson is very nice as well.

Not all of N. LV is bad. It's like any city, it has bad parts and some really good areas. The area you're looking at isn't too good, but definitely not the worst. Either way, I wouldn't stray too far from where you'll be working. The traffic here is insane and will eventually drive YOU insane if you have to commute too far.
Generally, these are the good and the bad in the valley:
Southwest LV: Good
Central LV: Bad
Summerlin: Good & expensive
Green Valley: Good
Henderson: Good
Northeast: Bad

I wouldn't want to live in North Las Vegas. That's the part you see on COPS all the time.

north east las vegas has more crime. I like the summerlin area. Im near there.

Generally NLV is not considered a "good" neighborhood although there are some parts that are not bad. Personally I would not live in that area.

no way it is terrible i lived on nellis oasis lane and i broke my lease, first off it is loud as hell due to the airforce jets, your house shakes and car alarms go off all day, my car has been vandalized, and its very dirty, crime is crazy there to, you can send me a personal email to DSTARCH1@HOTMAIL.COM, dont move there
