Meaning, like they are gathering people to make a revolution to happen, for a good cause??? Or meaning can this revolution be used in a history essay.

Yes, it may be termed a 'revolution' in a sense: having brought about extraordinary yields of wheat and rice per acre-thanks to the efforts of agro scientists, thereby averting millions of potentail deaths by starvation. But in some countries like Pakistan where birth rates are far higher, the benefits of green revolution are fast fading away.
