I'm interested to know what really works. I know counting on your ovulation day but anything else besides that?

This may come across as too much info...BUT....i will be gentle with the info. I swear to this, it knocked me up 3 times. I am pregnant currently, even though i have a hypothyroid AND a cyst in my left ovary ( small chances of ever conceiving)
hmmm do you use toys? do you "O" often? Hubby needs to get you HOT....make those juices flow.... you hop on top... and you need to "O", then once you do, he needs to follow suit, quickly after. The reason is, your muscles are contracting, and the juices are great for the swimmers, so as the muscles contract, they are sucking in more and more swimmers....and well, you have just created the best breeding grounds!!!! make sense without being too crude????

I have never checked my temperature, unless I thought I had a fever. I have never taken an ovulation test. I have never used fertility drugs. I have never laid on my back, let alone put a pillow under my butt after sex.

Instead, I had fun. And much love. And one day I decided, honey - let's not use the birth control stuff right now. Let's make a baby. So maybe I didn't get pregnant the first time. Or the second. Not sure which day, exactly...but I do know that sex is a wonderous, fun thing - and I never lose sight of that. People who think of sex just to make babies...well, they need to make sex more fun. God intended for us to enjoy sex. With someone we love. Otherwise, we wouldn't be able to make babies at all. I would rather have memories of making love with the man that I adore, then what temperature my thermometer read that day.

So how did I get pregnant? Well, pretty sure I got it down pat. A wink and a smile, really - is what my friends say.

Of course, I do have 5 children. And twin boys on the way.

You should also lay on your back and put a pillow under your butt to raise your hips for an hour. Or, if your uterus is retroflexed (tipped forward) lay on your stomach and raise your butt in the air a little. BUT... you should not be worried about it unless you have been trying for a year, 6 mths if you are over 30. Worrying about it is not conducive for getting pregnant. Not trying, practicing a lot, and going on vacation are better for getting pregnant. Those stress hormones from worrying, do not help. Also, you can tell more closely when you are really ready by seeing if your vaginal mucus is very clear and 'sticky' (like clear snot- sticks together and makes a little string when pulled between two objects). Talk about getting graphic. Sorry.

yeah... not having sex too often. Try to give 36 - 48 hours between sessions so that the sperm are more potent. After intercourse, take a quick pee and jump into bed to take a nap, or just to relax... as long as you're horizontal.

My first pregnancy... it took the first month of trying.
My second pregnancy took three months (but I was also nursing my son quite frequently)

Both times, I checked my ovulation schedule... and stuck to the rules above.

Good luck!

Pay close attention to having sex 10-20 days after when your period starts. Also, dont have sex in a position where you are on top bc gravity works against the direciton in which sperm wants to travel. Make sure your man isnt on any synthetic testosterone, propecia/proscar, or any other drugs which may decrease his sperm count and fx. Also, no sex after he has a hot shower/bath bc that will temp. decrease his sperm count for few hrs

Don't try so hard. As soon as you realize its not going to happen until its supposed to, you'll be knocked up in no time.

Try putting a penis in your vagina, I hear that's a time tested technique.
