hey, i have had 3 laps and it's not that bad. it's called the "bandaid" surgery and that's literally what you'll have. a bandaid from the one stitch in your bellybutton and if you have to have any other incisions, they are also one stitch. the only problem you will have is the gas that is injected into your stomach that keeps your other organs away from where they are working. you are injected with gas and while you're under, they tilt your head down so that you're angled. you will have a feeling of the flu- very achy shoulders where the gas floats up and hits your nerve endings. that sux. worst part of it though. good luck. i have had a d&c and they are a bit painful from the dilation, no dye so I don't know about that. I USED to have Endo and the laps where from that. haven't had that for about 11 years now. let me know how you're doing. I know what you're going/going to go thru. i felt better next day with the laps, had some spotting and cramping with the d&c so that took a couple of days. really next day you'll be fine.

"After you wake up, you will feel drowsy for several hours. For 1 to 2 days after the procedure, you may be tired and have some general aches and pains (these can be caused by the anesthetic). You also may have a mild sore throat if an ET tube was placed in your throat to help you breath during the procedure. Using throat lozenges and gargling with warm salt water may help relieve your sore throat." (see sources) "You may have some abdominal bloating. There may be bruising around the incision for a few days. You may have some discomfort around the incision.
The gas used during the procedure can temporarily irritate your diaphragm. You may notice pain or achiness in your shoulder for several hours after the procedure. "
Sounds like there's not a lot of recovery as far as the laparascopy and D&C go. I couldn't find much on removing lesions, if you're talking about removing some of the cysts, they actually remove part of the ovary, called ovarian drilling, but I don't think that's what you're referring to. I think the recovery time for that is longer.

D&C don;t usually take that long to recover. Most people recover within 1 or 2 days and is back to work on the 4th day after surgery. So you can for sure do normal things on Monday of the following week.
BEST OF LUCK

You're probably looking at 2-4 weeks to be back to normal, depending on how extensive of burning he needs to do.

No time flat! You might need some pain medication related to the D&C but you'll be as good as new with a good nights sleep!
