By its original and broadest definition, art (from the Latin ars, meaning "skill" or "craft") is the product or process of the effective application of a body of knowledge, most often using a set of skills; this meaning is preserved in such phrases as "liberal arts" and "martial arts". However, in the modern use of the word, which rose to prominence after 1750, “art” is commonly understood to be skill used to produce an aesthetic result (Hatcher, 1999). Britannica Online defines it as "the use of skill and imagination in the creation of aesthetic objects, environments, or experiences that can be shared with others"[1]. By any of these definitions of the word, artistic works have existed for almost as long as humankind, from early pre-historic art to contemporary art.

Beauty is a value associated with an innate and emotional perception of life's affirmative and meaningful aspects within objects in the perceived world —ie. vitality, fertility, health, happiness, goodness, and love. Cognition of "beauty" involves the interpretation of objects as being in balance and harmony with nature, which in turn elicits a sense and experience of attraction, affection, and pleasure.
In its most profound sense, beauty is said to engender a salient experience of positive reflection with regard to the meaning of one's own being within natural life. An "object of beauty" may be anything that reveals or resonates with a personal meaning. Hence religious and moral teachings have often focused on the divinity and virtue of beauty, to assert natural beauty as an aspect of a spiritual beauty (ie. truth) and to define all self-centered or materialistic pretensions as based in ignorance. The ancient story of Narcissus for example, deals with the distinction between recognizing beauty and falling into vanity. The presence of the self in any human context means that beauty is naturally tied to its human meaning, wherein human beauty is often the dominant aspect of a greater natural beauty. Otherwise, objects can be defined as belonging to any of various types, such as "artificial," or "intellectual" beauty.
In the modern context, the usage of beauty as means to promote an ideology or dogma has been a focus of societal debates which center around issues of prejudice, ethics, and human rights. The usage of beauty for purposes of commercialism is a controversial aspect of the "culture wars," wherein feminism typically claims such usage promotes a dogmatic (ie. "The Beauty Myth") rather than a virtuous understanding of beauty. The literal opposite of beauty is ugliness —ie. the perceived lack of beauty, which stimulates displeasure and engenders a deeper negative perception of the object.

From one day to another
you may ever discover
the only solution
to your ever, lasting, longing
But what of the other
reason to discover
the reason for your love
may be after it's all over
For the art of beauty
may be of its continuity
The Earth within the ocean
is forever in motion
for it knows no end
the beginning of creation
the end of Time...
Can you believe I made this up myself!?
Listening to Enya can do some strange things to your head!
I was listening to "Anywhere Is" when I made this song- it also
has the same rythm.
In response to your question- I have just one word- Amarantine!
it's the true meaning
of everlasting and endless beauty!
However art is not all beauty
it only exists to your own mind
and you will ever find
that beauty is art
in the heart
of any other
for them to discover
(I'm still listening to Anywhere Is...
you should too!)
I just thought of something for love...
Your love of you
your love of all that is true
your love in all you do
Is in the heart inside you
and the spirit of thou
rests beside you
Love can be beautiful
love can be true
but all it means to you
is all you ever knew
Love can be hurtful
love can be hateful
but love is forever
and all of Time!
(I've written too much already
I'd better get out of here!)
It was great while it lasted
Hope you really (loved) my answer!:^)

My feelings about art, beauty and love is an existence of self expression that comes from within. The beauty is the end result of self expression, which for me is contentment, and fulfilment. Good question, thanks for asking.

Art and beauty are in the eye of the beholder and if the beholder sees them as beautiful, they are. Love is always beautiful. If it's ugly it isn't love.
