Why don't you keep some pot puree around the your home and burn sandalwood incense sticks. Sandalwood is a strong fragrance which will permeate into all the nooks and cranny's and hopefully that will be the end of your cigarette odor problem

Ammonia clears cigarette smoke, which really isn't just an odor but also a deposit on surfaces, including the carpet.

So, wash the windows, all the walls, the cabinets and other surfaces, and clean the carpets. Then, leave saucers of ammonia in the rooms to clean up the remaining smells or any that get stirred up with all that activity!

Good luck!

Contact a local apartment complex and ask them what they use. They might be able to recommend where you can rent an ozone machine.
I used an ozone machine at my former apartment. You cannot be in the house while it is on; make sure no pets are in the house either. After you use it, open all the doors and air out the house for a few hours. It gets rid of cigarette odors really well.

look for a type of incense called nag champa red. it is amazing. i burn a stick now and then in every part of the house. i thought it would make the house smell like a different type of smoke but instead it leaves a clean sweet smell. it wears off before long but it takes the smoke smell with it.
i learned about it from some weed smokers who used it as a cover. i didn't even know they smoked until i actually saw them doing it. i asked how they kept the smell away and they gave me some sticks. at first i didn't like the smell but once you get accustomed to it its pretty nice.

I am a smoker and I have found that small containers filled with baking soda put in various rooms works great, the soda absorbs the odors usually overnight and then I pour the baking soda down the drains add a little vinegar and it keeps the drains open as well, it is also very inexpensive

Try doing this whenever you smell the cigarette odor: Put lemon slices into a pot of water and bring to a boil. Keep simmering. After about an hour, the citrus aroma will refresh your home.

I used to smoke. Once smoke is in material like furniture, it is almost impossible to get rid of. The best thing is to stop smoking and buy new stuff. Or, you can try to shampoo everything and smoke outside from now on.

cigarette smokes covers everything

you can either keep your windows oen and hoe it eventuailly airs out

or

re-paint from floor to ceiling, scrub or replace carpets, and have the vents cleaned out

i would start by just scrubbing the floors and keeping the windows open, see if that helps

Try burning some scented soy candles for awhile. They burn clean, without soot or toxins, and come in a variety of wonderful fragrances. You can try a "smoke and odor eliminator" one for starters.
