I had an IUD put in about 2 months ago, and ever since then when I have a period I bleed like crazy. I will put a tampon in and 2 hours later I will leak through it, but my periods only last like 4 days instead of my normal 6/7. Have you ever had on or do have an IUD, and if soo did you have this problem?

that's common with an IUD and your doctor should have warned you of this before hand. try super's. some people even put in 2 at once. Others use the supers with a pad and just run to the bathroom constantly. if you don't think you can do it, you may need to change your birth control

MY MOTHER DID and she now cannot have any more children. She had hers put in at 22 and couldn't ever have children again. The nurses didn't think anything was wrong and left it in her.
I think she could have sued but this was back 27 years ago. I would get the sucker taken out and go to a new doctor.
She had heavy bleeding just like that. Go to the dr. and I'd have them take it out if I were you.
