A person’s life is full of dreams. Dream can be about one’s ambition which he gets fulfilled with the passage of time thru his own hard work, intelligence, good planning and with the blessings of Almighty. Another is day dreaming which is really not a good habit and can be controlled with one’s will power. But what about the dreams a person experiences during sleep. Do they hv effect in our real life? What do they mean? What is their interpretation? The person asks to his friends, elders and seniors in his social circle. Sometimes he gets satisfactory reply and sometimes not. These days Internet is a rich source of information. So one does not need to depend on others for one’s dream interpretation. The Yahansmaniac Community member suggests the following.

The question I would ask in response is how old is your brother?
When I was about 16, I began to feel an instinctual need to protect and provide for things and people. My pets suddenly became friends instead of the targets of torture that they were when I was 12.
I would say if your brother is in this age-range (or anything older for that matter), he's looking for a 'little brother' to look after; someone he can teach, take care of, protect, etc. Carrying a sled up a hill for a younger brother is a pretty big gesture, as an immature boy would make the younger brother carry it for himself. Vouching for his brother to his mom about the toilet is a similar gesture.

Brother
To see your brother in your dream, may symbolize some aspect of your relationship with him. It can also serve to remind you that someone in your waking life has certain characteristics/behavior similar to your brother's.
If you do not have a brother and dream that you have one, then he may symbolize characteristics that you need to acknowledge within yourself. The brother in your dream can also be synonymous with a close friend or buddy. Brother also has religious implications and thus represents spiritual issues. Consider also the familiar phrase "big brother is watching you" which indicate that your dream has to deal with issues of authority and oppression.
Cat
To see a cat in your dream, signifies much misfortune, treachery, and bad luck. However, for the cat lover, cats signifies an independent spirit, feminine sexuality, creativity, and power. If the cat is aggressive, then it suggests that you are having problems with the feminine aspect of yourself. If a cat is biting you, then it symbolizes the devouring female. Perhaps you are taking and taking without giving. You may be expressing some fear or frustration especially when something is not going as planned. If you see a cat with no tail, then it signifies a lost of independence and lack of autonomy.
To dream that you chase the cat away, signifies that you will overcome your obstacles.
To see a white cat in your dream, denotes that you are going through difficult times. If you see a black cat in your dream, then it indicates that you are experiencing some fear in using your psychic abilities and believing in your intuition. You may erroneously associate the black cat with evil, destruction, and bad luck.
Hill
To dream that you are climbing a hill, signifies your struggles in achieving a goal. To dream that you are standing on top of a hill, signifies that you have succeeded in your endeavors or that you have now have the resources to complete a task at hand.
Mother
To see your mother in your dream, represents the nurturing aspect of your own character. Mothers offer shelter, comfort, life, guidance and protection. Some people may have problems freeing themselves from their mothers and are thus seeking their own individuality and development.
To dream that you are having a conversation with your mother, denotes a matter that has preoccupied your mind and you are not sure how to deal with it in your waking life. It indicates unresolved problems that still need to be worked out with your mother.
To hear your mother call you in our dream, signifies that you have been negligent in your duties and responsibilities. You are pursuing down the wrong path.
To hear your mother cry in your dream, denotes some illness or affliction.

is your brother 8 years old? maybe thats how he felt when he was 8 years old. id say the kitten might represent his inner pure self, and the arguement with his mother could represent feeling not she is in control of his life instead of him.

It is a dream of "evasion of responsibilities"
Basically your probably wants to be recognized, but there are tasks he rejected to do, so he projected the cat as he pet. Actually the cat is him subconsciously. He want to take care of something and yet wants to be taken care of.

He wants a pet, but a brother more. And since he doesn't want to clean the litterbox, the brother is the dominant want.
