book smarts or common sense? Obviously, both would be optimal, but if you could only be one or the other, what would you rather be (book smart or street smart)? Why?

You HAVE to have both to even comprehend the question. :)
Both can get you places in life, just different places. You can and will be a success with either or. If you have any smarts at all, you will achieve both.

Common sense if you want to avoid humiliation, book smarts if you want good grades in school, and possibly a good career.
I'm book smart, but I can't really decide if I like it that way since I don't get out enough for either kind of smarts to have an effect on me.
