anyone and everyone we are socializing with. Sometime family, sometimes friends, sometimes complete strangers. I have told him that I don't want people to know my age, but somehow he feels he must tell everyone how old I am even though he knows I don't like it. I told him the next time he does it to be prepared--I intend to smack him in the face as hard as I can. I don't know what else to do other than duck tape his mouth. Does anyone have any suggestions?

It sounds cruel, but embrass the sh*t out of him back. You've warned him. Told him that it hurts. Well, fair game. Nothing seriously cruel, but like (taking an example from my past), he says "well my wife is 5 years older than me and I'm...". You can respond, something like "that's right. At first I was worried, he was so immature. Now, now he's almost caught up with me." Or "He likes to brag; his girlfriend before we got married was practially illegal" etc... Say it with a straight face.
My husband did this to me today actually. I'm a backseat driver. He's a horrible driver. Horrible. I worry when he drives he never pays attention to where he's going. He's wrecked rental cars on vacation etc...So I do things like, "what out for that car, he's getting in your lane etc..." It drives him nuts. NUTS! He did that to me today in the car, I yelled so much! Then a split second later I realized I finally got a taste of my own medicine. I intend to shut up in the car when he's driving from now on. He's talked to me about this SO many times, but I guess I just had to feel it to understand.
Now I ONLY ONLY ONLY recommend this if you two are good natured, not prone to vicious fights etc. You have to be the right couple to pull this off. If you don't think this is going to work or that it'll erupt in a fight or do real damage, then counceling. He's obviously not listening to you and there might be a bigger reason than just being a knuckle head.

He is definitely not respecting your wishes on this matter. I think if it were me after having told him repeatedly, the next time, wherever, whenever, I would walk out. Not saying a word, no scene, no fanfare, just leave him standing. Perhaps he'll tire of explaining why his wife has left him standing. You will definitely have his attention. When he asks why, say "Good, now that I have your attention, I do not like when you tell people my age and I want you to stop."

my mom is 7 yrs older than my dad, and i know that my mom doesnt like ppl knowing that either, and my dad respects that. i would suggest talking to him about it. if he's your husband, he should understand that age is one of the deepests secrets for a woman. sit him down and just have a long talk about youre feelings, as well as asking him why he must tell everyone. listen to him, then let him know how you feel. if it still doesnt work, go to marriage counseling. good luck

he is either proud of the fact that your older than him, or he is just and A&&. He seems very immature if he cannot respect your feelings and your wishes, I guess you pay the price for marrying an immature younger guy.

he needs to understand how much he is disrespecting you and stop his foolish, childish behavior. I wonder why he is so insecure as to have to point that out...

Seeing as he get's off on this, you need to crack his whip.
Just say this real loud to him infront of all of them. " It's not my fault, you have a small dick, honey". Then whisper under your breath to him, stop being a dick!
If this does not stop him in his tracks, take your right fist and hit his balls, then say, as he bends over. "Say my age to anyone again and you will be coughing them out".
A good ball tap, is like correcting a dog who poops on the carpet.

get counseling for your issues with your age.
seriously, why are you so ashamed of your age?
maybe he is just trying to get you over it cuz he thinks its silly.
get over the age issue, and make friends with reality.
