u should call your doctor on that one, but if it is just saline spray, you should be fine. I am not a doctor, so u really need to always consult with a doctor before putting anything into your body because you are pregnant. I am a mom of a 23 month old, so you know... I understand. I hope you get better, you can call your doctor at anytime, just get the doctor on call! :o)

I know saline nasal spray is just fine. Your dr. should have given you a list of things you can take. I believe Tylenol cold was also OK, but give the dr. a call in the morning just to make sure.

Best thing for you would be to get a vaporizer. You can pick one up at Walgreens very cheaply. Don't put any medicine in it, just have moist warm air.
Saline sprays are ok to take. Do not get the medicated kind.
Sudafed is ok. So is Tylenol, and Actifed. I like Sudafed the best, seems to work the fastest.
Also - keep up the fluids, and get plenty of rest!!

Humidifier
Vic's Vapor Rub
Tylenol
Decongestant (the one I took was the little red pills)
Saline Spray
Hot shower
Hot herbal tea (peppermint or lemongrass are nice)
Good tissues
I hated getting sick while pregnant! :(
Remember, nothing with aspirin in it or ibuprofen (including pepto bismol). All this changes after having the baby if you are breastfeeding, by the way. Then you can't have any decongestant or allergy medicine because it will dry out your milk but ibuprofen is OK. Ho hum.

I would check with your doctor. Usually, they recommend nothing more than Tylenol. Most cold medicines contain alcohol... so speak to him first. If your congestion is severe, he may recommend you take something to ease it. But I would try a humidifier first. The less medication you take, the better for your baby.

That happens a lot with pregnant woman. I get like that sometimes. When I told him, he recommanded breath right strips. They go across the nose. If you want to verify this, call your ob and ask.

You have to absolutely ask your OB doctor about any medications you would like to take!

NONE. Don't take any medication without the advice of your doctor, period. You don't want anything to happen to your precious baby.
