It is made of wood, what kind I don't know, but I will sand it and then paint it a bright, modern color. Also, I would prefer to buy paint that is economical and easy to find.

Hello. I have painted alot of the furniture in my home, and what I do is sand it all down then I use spray paint. I used bucket paint on my youngest daughters dresser and it just don't look as good as my other girl's dresser or my shelf. Spray paint looks so much better in my opinion. Good luck with your project.

If you're set on paint, and you're sanding the nightstand first, then use a water-based latex paint (if you don't sand it, and the nightstand is varnished, latex will peel off afterward). A quart should be more than enough!!

As a cost-saving idea, take a look through the "returned paint" cart at Home Depot or Lowes... see if there's a color in there that you like... you'll pay ~$5 and save!!

go to home depot, they can tell you what to do and give you some great choices of paint,s or you can go to lows to get some paints there.

washing device-friendly paint, and you gets it at objective or walmart, that's non poisonous and washes out of hair and garments easily. get dark and easy-weight colorings to make him appear like a clown :)

i wouldn't paint it, i would stain it in a shade you choose, then highlight it with an accent stain....stains come in yellows, oranges, reds and blue/greens these days. highlighting is a second step wich will give it more depth.
