friends of ours...you see 3 of their wives have gotten newer vehicles (we are all SAHMs) and my husband wont buy me one (I take the bus, he drives a nice newer Chevy truck) he says we cant afford it (lies) he just doesnt want me to have wheels of my own, I am getting annoyed with his paranoid and suspicious behavior which is keeping me from owning a car...I dont know what to do, I need a car and he doesnt want me to work, he says he will get me one but never does! I feel trapped and alone, I also have no friends as well so i never get out of the house.

Every once in a while mention how someone flirts with you on the bus. He might get jealous and want you to have a car. You're a woman, you can con better than that.

Hey girl i can relate to you on feeling alone and trapped .. I am a stay at home mom as well ..the husband dont want me working either .. I have no friends and i do nothing but im not jealous or envious of what other people have lol thats not good .. Im not a materialistic person though .. i mean if we can afford it sure its great to have but if you cant then its no big deal either .. maybe you should try doing somethings for yourself thats what im trying to do ... im trying to get my GED and get a job ..hoping to meet people ect.. I need out of this house it gets depressing .. umm hit me back sometime if you want we can chat give us something to do LOL . I think you should talk to your husband tell him how you feel if money is a problam then tell him you want to go to work ? take care girly and hope you get what u want !

He sounds like he may be controlling and there are sometimes underlying reasons why he wants you trapped in the house. Also he may have jealousy issues and thinks you will find someone else. I would really sit down and talk to him about how you feel and watch his reaction it could tell you a lot more. I truly wish you the best. I was once in the same situation mine ended not so well. I hope this is not the case with yours.

tell him how you are feeling. do you have a job? do you make any payments on your own?

talk to him and tell him how you are feeling and see what he says. if its that important to you, he should know about it.

start having him take you to do the things that you would do on your own if you had your own car. make him take you shopping and be sure and spend a long time in the stores. have him take you to the grocery store. have him take you to visit your parents. if he has to take you everywhere, he will eventually get the idea that you might accidently really need a car.

In some states you can apply for credit using a spouses income, see if you can in your state & apply for a vehicle loan & if it's approved, buy yourself a man magnet, a hot rod & have funnnn!!!!

explain how you are feeling. if he doesn't take that well, consider leaving a controlling and abusive marriage. if it is just the way of your culture for a man to be in control like that then consider being with a man outside of your race.
