I've missed a few episodes of Days, so I was catching up with the storylines online. It said that John Black was asking the little blonde cop for a date? I thought even though he and Marlena were separated they were still in love. Why is he asking other women out? I'm confused.

John is dating her (Eve) to find out what information he can get out of her about the missing tape. The tape was the proof that Chelsea killed Zach.

John is "undercover" trying to trip up the dirty cop, so that Bo can prove his innocence to Hope. The blonde was like the oly other person on duty or something like that, that's why she was suspected.

It is to help Bo out on his investigation about the missing CD that got Chelsea out of Jail. He is undercover I guess you could say. Tek and him think she may know something about it that is why John is asking her out.

I've read that the cop ends up dead and it's a murder mystery. I'm guessing John, Kate and 'Black Glove' will be involved.

john and bo suspect the blonde of being the one who took the tape proving bo is innocent. so john is going to get close to her and get the truth about who is behind all that.
