I went to the carphone warehouse. Sitting down with one of the reps she asked me exactly what I wanted (how many minutes) which handset and how much I would be willing to pay. She also explained the drawbacks and contract lengths. I think this is a good option as they check all the different networks for you. The if she says T-Mobile have the best deal (for example) check the t-mobile direct website to see if they have an even better deal. gOOD lUCK

I pay £30 a month to 02 and have a Nokia 6230i phone. I get a free upgrade every 18 months or whatever the contract length is. For that I get 500 minutes anytime, any network and 100 texts. It is more than enough for me and the only reason I have a landline at all is for the computer use.

Good offers on all the networks on 18 month contracts. If you only want a 12 month contract then 3 probably have the best offers on their own website.
