You should check out your local craft store, like Michaels they carry all types of markers.
You can get good sets from $15 to $50. They are good quality for a lot less money.

Please consider this first: buying super-expensive tools will not necessarily make your work better if you don't know how to use them.

It sounds like you don't have experience in marker coloring, or not too much. Why don't you start working with cheaper, but still high-quality brands before moving up? I personally use Prismacolor markers. They are still a bit pricey, but they are much more readily available and still have professional quality.
Heck, you may not even like markers once you start working with them. Then it would be a terrible waste after paying hundreds of dollars for those things.

Gradually work up, y'know. Start with some Prismacolors: http://www.dickblick.com/zz213/42/ . Tria brand markers are also pretty good, but slightly more expensive and elusive: http://www.dickblick.com/zz213/71a/ .
Once you are comfortable, poke around on eBay.com or wholesale sites for better prices on Copics.
