You just found a BIG bag full of 100dll bills,inside there's a phone # & name.What do you do?

Take it to the police station, where it will or will not be claimed.
If it is not claimed, its yours. The phone number and name could be anyones, not necessarily the owner of the case, but someone who might try and claim it. You turn it in.

Call the number & *listen*. That would dictate the entire course of my following actions. However, should I deem that this money really belongs to the person on the other end of the line, I would do my best to get it back to them.

I think you should turn it into the police incase it is drug money or laundered money. They can contact the owners and if it is not claimed then it should be yours. I just found a wallet, and returned it and the person was over-joyed.

If there was a phone number and name I would return it. If there wasen't then I would take it because there would be a small chance of really finding out who it belonged to.

Take it to the Police and get a receipt and ask for feed back as to the result of enquiries

Unfortunately, I would have to return it because otherwise I'd be so paranoid and guilty, I'd never be able to spend it...but 1, $100.00 bill (or 2) with no name....I'd be forced to make myself spend it...and maybe put some in the church basket to wash away my sin of omission....

Give it to the police lost & found department so they can ascertain whether the money is legal, and hopefully return it to its rightful owner.
