My doctor wants to induce me on wendsday but i want to be induced naturally. I heard about castor oil and the diahrea you get from it but is it harmful to the baby. and i also heard about parsley tea that it helps stimulate contractions but i also heard when used during early pregnancy its for abortion. so i really dont know which one is safe. oh by the way i will be 41 weeks.

I would'nt advise the castor oil,It could cause the baby to release meconium inside you and indegest the fecal matter into her lungs,in turn causing major infections.Tis not worth the risk. What will stimulate contractions are orgasms, for real,I'm not kidding.also stairclimbing.

Hey, you dont want to try castor oil. I just had my baby 2 months ago and he was also a week late and I tried to induce myself by using castor oil and it put me in false labor that hurt 50 times worse then actual labor. it was HORRIBLE. My baby came out fine. no problems from my taking the castor oil. You should know that castor oil doesn't work with every woman or with every pregnancy but it does give everyone diahrea and gives you nausea. Ask your doctor about rupuring your membranes, they ruptured mine 4 times before my water broke, and they didn't have to give me any drugs so good luck, I remember what hell it was at the very end

Castor oil goes straight through you. The baby will not be harmed. You however will have severe diahrea and possible hemroids. Is that worth it to you?

Castor oil doesn't really work, it's an old wives tall, but you should google around and see what you can find, also taking a tun of walks can help.

Honey ask your doctor what he/she recommends as far as natural remedies, don't try your own stuff. We are not medical exports and there seems to be some danger in trying this Castor oil.

I did castor oil in my 40th week and I threw up like crazy!!! IMy son also ended up having meconium in his lungs and I read that the castor oil can do that. My advice is DON'T do it. Also, throwing up was all it did for me...it didn't help me go into labor.

The only thing that I can suggest is to have sex. Sex is a great way to put you into labor especially if you climax. It will cause your uterus to contract. It worked with all three of my pregnancies. I hope this helps.
