I have been looking online for some info but can't find any. My daughter who is 7 and a half months old just developed some little red bumps on one side of her bottom...I changed her diaper about an hour ago and they weren't there so they just appeared. She hasn't had any other symptoms of sickness and has never had diaper rash before so I don't know what diaper rash looks like. Do you know of any websites that would be helpful? Or do you know what this could be besides diaper rash?
When I last looked at it it seemed to be clearing up a little.

It's a rough enviroment down there. she might have gotten a little bit of diaper rash. You did a good job of keeping it clean. Just talk to doc the next time you bring her in.

Sounds just like diaper rash. Balmex works really well. I used Desatin until my 4th child. I wish I'd have found Balmex earlier!

Sometimes it can be yeast, but it's different from the yeast that women get. It doesn't need the same things to clear it, and that needs to be treated with a prescription cream. But that doesn't sound like what you have described. Leave the diaper off as much as possible, expose her bottom to sunshine- play outside on a blanket with the diaper off- and try Balmex.

Best of luck!

It is probably diaper or heat rash. Just let it air out and put diaper rash cream on it. We use a product called "Butt Cream". It is more expensive than most, but works really well. If it doesn't clear up after a day or two, call your doctor.

Butt paste works wonders. You also might want to try changing your brand of diapers. The same thing happened to my daughter. It sounds like diaper rash. Make sure you keep it clean and always put a thick layer of the paste on it. She will be fine.

You should try www.webmd.com it is a great site. All you do is type in diaper rash and then scroll down till you get to the topic overview. it is right below the sponsored links. it has alot of information on what causes diaper rash and how to treat at home and even tells you when to see a doctor. GOOD LUCK.

If it seems to be clearing up, you shouldn't worry. It probably is a diaper rash and just try to keep the area as clean as possible. If you notice it doesnt go away soon, then you should take her to the pediatrician.

My son never had a diaper rash until he was about that age. So chances are that it is just a diaper rash. I would put cream on it and watch it.

sounds like a bit of prickly heat. If it is near her butt crack, it could be diaper rash. Keep an eye on it, make sure she is drinking enough water. diaper rash starts out that way. try pampers.com good luck.

It sounds like it could be a heat rash, otherwise known as prickly heat. It always goes away on its own but can, sometimes, be itchy. You could soothe and comfort her by putting some baby powder on it. I hope this helps!
