Is it me or are ganster starting to skateboard and wear Vans?! I was watching Yahoo! videos when a song called "Vans" can on and the airtist was "The Pack" and I was like, "Oh new band" and I go to another website while its playing and I heard like a rap beat to it and I look and gansters wearing Vans! Last time I heard, gansters wear Nikes and Jordans, not Vans or skateboard. I know, I know I'm not saying its bad I'm just saying its new for me. So are they really skateboarding now? And wearing Vans?

Eww.. Hahahaa, but it a funny thought that they always wear baggy pants so if they skatebaord or try to do a trick they will more than likely trip over at some point.

Yeah, within the last year I've noticed a lot of black people with skateboards where I live. That really freaked me out -- not that I didn't like it, but I'm so used to skateboarders being skinny white punks. There is little similarity between the gangster culture and the punk/extreme sports culture. You're not alone!
I am certainly glad to see that they are willing to break out of the hip-hop mold that the media portrays so often.

OMG yes i noticed that, too. My brother likes rap and he hates the kinds of guys i like *skater* and he's like always critisizing like i hope they trip over their skateboards or w/e.But now that Pharell and other rappers are going all skateboardish and getting mow hawks my brother is too. I hate it! There hating them one moment and then becoming them later. I mean they used to make fun of the preppy boys, now they wear golf shirts and polos.what the crap.thats all i have to say.
