There are two methods that you can use for callling back to the US from out
of the country. The first method will be a lot cheapier though.


1: You can use what is called "USA Direct", this is an AT&T feature. It
requires the use of an AT&T calling card or calling collect. Most
telephones overseas have directions on the phones, but this is how it works.
To get local international access, you dial, 0800 + 89 + 0011 this will get
you to an AT&T overseas operator. You just give the operator your calling
card info. or say collect and the number you want to call. It's that
simple. (No, this is not an advertisement for AT&T :>))


2: If you want to call direct (more expensive), dial 00 + 1 + area code and
telephone number you want. The 00 is the US access number.

I believe you just dial 001+1+area code+number.

One '1', we invented the phone (alexander Graham Bell). But there is slight differences in some countries.
