Memphis is freakin ghetto! Or at least that's the impression I get from most people who live there. They say it's either really, really ghetto or really suburban (with a lot of fake, vacuous pretty people who just go shopping). Is this a pretty accurate description?

Not at all there are getto parts but there is getto everywere there is also the rich snots that do alot of the high class shopping. But it is pretty much as everywere else a mix and match of every kind. I can tell you it is a cheap place to live and the people there are really nice. I lived there for a year and just moved to vegas and vegas is overly getto.

I helped rebuild a house in Memphis with my church and can honestly say that what I saw was pretty ghetto. There is an area of town that I went to that was suburban though.
