Why does everything always have to be so complicated?

Only if we allow it to be complcated. Life is quite simple really. Here is my philosophy on life ...

Desiderata

Go placidly amid the noise and haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible without surrender
be on good terms with all persons.

even the dull and the ignorant;

gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline,
be gentle with yourself.


You are a child of the universe,
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.


Therefore be at peace with God,
whatever you conceive Him to be,
and whatever your labors and aspirations,
in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.


With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful.
Strive to be happy.

It's much less complicated if you are a man.

Ok, it *isn't* less complicated.....but we just don't notice as much of it as you do, and even if we did we couldn't process it all.....so we drift from day to day in a state of confused ignorance.

I'd suggest you try it.....but no. You don't want to be like us, do you?

Because it's the human tendency to [unnecessarily] complicate things.

Humans are weird. We love conflict. Even if we say we don't... you'd just be lying to yourself.

I guess if it were always easy we wouldn't appreciate the times when it is really good or precious because we didn't have to struggle or work hard to get there.

b'cuz hun that's life for ya if life were easy then we'd all be celebrities and rich and half the world wouldn't be hungry and/or dying. I suppose it makes it more interesting so we actually have to do SOMETHING.
