as a family, we buried my grandfather in the old way(bury your own). my cousin wanted to do it. at first i thought it was sick, but i backed him every step of the way. gramps said he could, and since alot of people were singing or speaking, why shouldnt #1 grandson get his way? as it turns out, besides the police showing up, it was the easiest way to bury someone ive ever had the heartache of participating in.

Saying good bye is hard.My gramma's dying right now. She's still breathing but can't talk or open her eyes or move. The hospice said she can still hear us though. And I could tell. I told her I loved her and thank you for everything she's ever done for me. I told her I was sorry I haven't been there for her the last few years and told her I loved her so much! It sucks. She practically raised me!

Say good bye with your heart.

That is too personal a question to answer fully without knowing you but I would just take some time on my own at the Graveside and say what you feel about the person I would think if you thought about it you would think along similar lines sorry never been in your situation so I am just winging it a bit but you have my sympathy
