Ok, so Derik and I have been best friends for a long time. We're both 23 now, by the way. Derik's always told me that his mom died a long time ago, when he was a baby, but nothing specific. But a month ago, I just did some random googling, and I came upon a news article about a woman's death back in 1984 when she was only 28, brutally stabbed at an airport, leaving her two twins and the dad. (I wasn't searching for her mom specifically, I don't even know her name). Obviously, this is devastating and very tragic. Derik doesn't know I know this. But should I tell him that I do? That if he needs support, I'm there? Or should I wait, and if he brings it up, then I tell him??? OH... he KNOWS about it, but he's never shared it with me. It's not like he doesn't know, and I found out, and am asking you here if I should tell him what happened. He already knows.

Don't tell him. Wait till he brings it up he's been fine so far but if he does bring it up please tell him that you will be there to support him

No, don't say a word about it, let him tell u if he wants. It may be a sore subject for him to talk about and maybe he was told she dead the way he told u she dead. So no way do u say anything because it's really not ur place.
Beside why is it so important that u know and even let him know u know?

no dont tell him. If he knows and he hasnt told you, its because he doesnt wanna share or may be wants to forget the episode.
You being his best friend, he would share it with you if he wanted to...but you dont take it up...he might feel bad. May be by not sharing he's thinking many wont know. If you tell him you know, it might lead hiim to think may be everybody knows and could disturb him even more.
I hope you get my point. Just be as you were to him and know him as you had known him before..nothing more.

If he doesn't want to talk about it, just don't press the issue. If he gets mad, he'll get over it. You're his friend, right? Of course you want to know...

you should try and find the right time at the right place. you should tell him because he has the right to know.remember this truth is what burns deep within the hearts of all.

It tthik you should b truthful with him but i can't tell you what to do. but ask yourself this:::::would you want your best friend to tell u????? be truthful.....follow ur heart!!!!! i hpoe you make the right decision!!!!!!
