OxiClean Baby Laundry Kit is excellent! It is 100% free of dyes, chlorine, and other harsh chemicals. The kit has detergent, stain soaker, and stain remover. All of them are very gentle yet powerful. The kit costs about $25, but it is worth it! You can probably find it other places, but we got ours from OxiClean.com.
God bless! Congrats on the newborn.

I was initially using a stain stick and washing clothes right away, but they ended up stained. Now I immediately hand wash all stains with a little nail brush and liquid soap. I then put a little coloursafe bleach on the spot and soak in warm water for a few minutes. After rinsing well by hand several times, I THEN put them in with a load of laundry.
This has been working well, and even gets out his deep mustard yellow diaper spills! And the colour of his clothing is just as bright.

I just set out the clothes to air dry, then once a week I get my baby's clothes together and use SHOUT, spray generously any food stains. Wash clothes normally in warm water (no need for "baby detergent" unless there are sensitivities). I don't have any trouble with stains, not even the orange Gerber baby foods!!
But I learned the hard way...DO NOT wad up wet (from food) clothes and wait til laundry day. They will mold with black spots. These do not come out!!! Unless someone else knows of a way to get these black spots out??

This is a protein stain, and you may be setting the stains in the clothing by 'burning' it in with water that's too hot.
Use cool water to wash and rinse his little clothes, and get a bar of Fels Naptha soap to rub a little on the protein stains before washing them. Also, add washing soda and 20 mule team borax to the wash.
Good luck, and bless you and your new little one!

I never found anything that took our formula stains. Just put a bib on the baby everytime you feed him. go buy yourself some cheap tshirts to wear until this stage of his life is over.

There is a product called Amaze, it works wonders on baby accidents. You should be able to find it next to the laundry soap in the store.

my mom always swears by lemon joy, even for set in ones. i've actually seen her get a few out of my daughter's clothes that way. just saturates it in the joy and soaks it in the sink overnight and then washes it in cold water....
