it has to be either spark or gas

if you added gas to the carburater (it is usually better to spray a starter fluid) and you didn't get any "cough" at all, then you have a spark problem

if you have a timing light you can put it on a spark plug wire and see if it is firing

if you don't have one you can unscrew a spark plug, reconnect it to the wire, and see if it sparks to the engine when the car is cranked

if you don't have spark, it is probably an electronic ignition failure of some kind

i did not word all people's point out of this, yet have you ever checked to be certain your gasoline Pump is working? once you change the ignition on (area way, in simple terms in the previous the placement to initiate it) you ought to have the flexibility to take heed to a buzzing/vibrating variety sound for some seconds. in case you may not hear this from interior the motor vehicle, have somebody kneel beside the rear of the motor vehicle to take heed to for you. in case you do not hear this sound, your pump's not working and your motor vehicle won't initiate, no count how long it rolls over or how lots spark it has.

Chevy stopped using the Q-jet around '87. How is it that your '94 has one? Maybe you should check into that, and possibly you will discover the problem.
