I scraped the rear passanger door of my brand new Prius and it has a slight dent. There is no internal damage. Mostly, I think it has to be repainted. If I claim it on my insurance, how much will my insurance go up?

You might want to ask some owners who may have had this situation. Perhaps they could even point you toward a good body shop or discount parts location.

Insurance would be the bigger question. Get some estimates first. Not knowing your insurance policy/deductible, it may not even be worth contacting your insurance. (would you end out paying it out of pocket anyways, because of the deductible?) Depending on your insurance company and where you're insured, you may or may not see a penalty or an insurance increase for your next renewal.

Good luck! Getting any damage to a new car is heartwrenching.

it shouldn't go up that much. anyways there are way to fix that spec and go to your local auto shop and buy some touch up paint. a slight dent well don't worry about it you'll get more of that when people open their doors and hit your car.
