I think that the lyrics are quite good and will be even better with a strumming guitar in the background.
The lyrics remind me of how I'm feeling when I go to bed and lay there in the darkness and think about the day that just ended. What my regrets are and what my hopes for the new day will bring.

the singer has done something that has caused him to not be able to be with the girl the song is about.. he is nervous to confront her about it but he really wants to have her
