When he trusts you enough...the more trust, the more he'll tell you.

It's not clear truth about what you are referring to, but my ex never did. He lied up to the day I moved out at 4 months pregnant. I waited and waited for him to 'trust' me enough to lean on me and be truthful and he never did. Here's my take: if he's not truthful about anything, including who he is or what he's all about, at any time in the relationship, even in the beginning, then move on. If he's hiding anything about who he is (what he likes/dislikes, religion, what he does, etc.) or worse, his other activities, he's not worth pursuing. Here's why I say this: if he's holding back, he knows it's something you wouldn't like. Something negative. If he's not laid back and comfortable enough to be himself around you, then you're not a good match. Not that a relationship starts with a guy belching and farting in front of his gf, but I mean in general. There's never any reason to pretend to be something/someone you're not.

So my answer...if he's not already, he never will.

No one ever tells the absolute truth about everything to anyone.

Nope. He tells you what he thinks you want to hear.

At least until he loses interest, then he admits he was telling you a load of crap all along in hopes he can get out of the relationship.

Sorry dear, it's just the way we are.

Once a liar always a liar. As long as you keep putting up with it, he will continue.

If he's psychotic as you imply, one of them will speak up sooner or later.
