My niece is turning 10 and wants a cd. I need artists and popular songs that kids this age are listening to. Any help will be appreciated!

We live in an area where the only thing on the radio is country, which she doesn't like. Her mom is getting her a cd player, so this will be the first time she gets to explore and really find out what she enjoys.

Don Patch's almost 10 year old daughter likes Sara Evans (country I know, but she's awesome), Kelly Clarkson, Green Day, Martina McBride (again, country), and most of the music on the Kids Bop cd's.

Maybe "NOW" Cds...you know the ones on the commercials *but they have them in stores* with the top music on it from the year...you could probably find it at music stores like Fye or Circuit City or google it and order it.

just get her voucher for a cd shop
that way you won't get her saying i hate this cd and have to take it back to the shop, you won't have to worry whether she likes it or not either, because she can choose it herself

just but her a 15 dollar gift certificate to best buy/circuit city/etc. and then she could make her own decison and make her feel more grown up with the card
