The united States considers an American to be born on US soil, by a U.S. citizen. This is from birth, if you were a citizen of another country and came to America, you would be an imigrant, all imigrants who have authentic passports are legal imigrants. illegal imigrants are those who come onto Americal soil without any form of citizenship or legality.

everyone who lives in america had ancestors who came from somewhere else
normally, a person is considered an immigrant if they were born somewhere else (like governor Swartzenager, who is a legal immigrant to the U.S.)
a person is an illegal immigrant, if they entered the country in violation of the laws of that country and remain in violation of those laws
who hates the earth?
