"Nobody has done this. No pitcher has ever come close to this feat. Although the other three listed were great pitching hitters, the closest that they came was hitting the cycle in one season, the last being Hunter in 1971 with Oakland."

I can't even remember the last time a pitcher hit a triple, but, Walter "Big Train" Johnson, a pitcher, hit 41 career triples! The triple is the most difficult part of the cycle, and it is a dying feat.

Here's a great article about triples: http://www.hardballtimes.com/main/article/endangered-species-the-three-base-hit/

Don't think it will ever happen....it could, but probably won't.

Pitchers very rarely have power, and rarely get four at-bats.

If a pitcher had power, the team would probably switch him to a deifferent position to concentrate more on batting than pitching anyway...

(for example- Babe Ruth)

probably not. i mean, if most pitchers hit a single thats a feat in itself. To hit for the cycle? that would be freakin cool.

Funny how it happens at every level of youth and high school baseball. It has never happened in modern Major League history. Would love to see it.
