The best way to learn dance is from a qualified professional with experience. You may also want supplemental matterials such as books articles videos, and websites. But None of those can replaces a good instructor. If you learn from a teacher they can help correct posture so that you do not injure yourself. Dancers often experience injuries even as professionals so don't risk learning without proper giudence or you will greatly increase your risk of injury.

If you're talking about an "organized form" of dance like ballet or ballroom or bellydance start taking group lessons.
If it is club dancing - in your room, with the mirror, try to imitate what other people did last time you saw them. Then turn on some music and try it to music.

Take a dance class. Visit www.dance.net and sign up there. It wont teach you how to dance but you can ask questions on a particular type of dance your interested in.

Take a dance class get your friends and family to go. That way you will know someone for they cna have fun and help each other

You can teach yourself or can or go to lessons, I recommend if you haven't done ballet or anything, go to lessons to learn the techniques!
