Instilled values are part of the problem if a parent is racist and strongly shows it the kids will pick up on it and usually follow in their tracks to show mommy and daddy they agree and they want the love and praise for making thier parents proud anothe rthing is any incident where they have been put off by how they were treated say example : a black man is refused a cab ride in new york but sees a white man being picked up by the same cabbie who passed him by it eats at you when you know you have done nothing wrong but was treated a certain way for any reason other then how u urself treated someone else

racism is a tought thing by the parents, in some cases when bad things are done to people like bullying, name calling, being beat up or raped or maybe a loved one being murdered also causes a person to go against a certian race. i would also say that it is from having a stagnated spirit and insecurity or a lot of times fear. sometimes when others are racist to a person that person becomes racist back as a form of defense too.

I would say that it has nothing to do with skin colour or nationality. I believe racism is a result of different behaviours and misunderstanding as a result of behaviour. Basically two different social norms conflicting with one another.

But who can narrow it down for sure?

Ignorance and/or the need to feel superior to other human beings. Which ever one... for what ever reason.... there is no excuse for an adult to behave that way.
