No, seriously. You go to a restaurant and sit outside. No flies. Your food arrives and within SECONDS they are swarming everywhere - literally all over the food. Where are they hiding, how do they smell the food so quickly and how do they get there so fast (they fly, I know).

First, I would complain to the manager and insist that they take care of the fly problem of you won't go back to eat there. Flies like smelly things, but you knew that, right? Did you know that they have taste organs on their FEET and that they land on smelly stuff, taste it with their feet to see if they want to eat it. So the fly that just landed on your food to taste it, was tasting something else smelly just a moment ago... an you know what that could have been right?

Worse, to eat they often spit up their stomach contents to soften the food they want to eat! so, what ever they ate last will be spit up onto your food! Gross!

Flies are constantly on patrol, following their odor sensing antennae to what ever is smelly. When the food arrives at your table the hot aroma drifts up into the air. Flies on patrol go through this and follow it back to its source, your plate.

Mosquitoes also use odor to find their food, but they are sensing your breath's carbon-dioxide! They can also sense your body heat. Talk about high-tech hunters!

Both flies and mosquitoes kill more people each year than all the battles that humans fight each year!

:-/ I only have one thing to say about flies and mosquitoes: Kill 'em. Kill 'em all.

Flies love meat. That's where they lay their eggs which turn into maggots, eat the meat and then grow up to be nasty flies.
