I know this is totally lame, but i am 15 years old, and i have no clue about makeup. I wouldn't say i have acne but my skin isn't completely clear. I have a nice, extremely layered haircut, im 5'3'', pale skin, brown mousey hair, blue eyes, i have ok/good clothes. I really want to look my age. Any suggestions for hair, clothes, or makeup would be greatly appreciated.

for makeup, try using maybelline pure. it's 50% water, so it won't clog pores and looks really natural. use maybelline GreatLash mascara. it's a classic and looks great. maybe try a peachy pink blush on the apples of your cheeks. use chapstick (the cherry flavored one). it gives your lips a hint of color without looking really fake and ugly. use a clear lip gloss on top if you please (vaseline or carmex works also). this is the MAX amount of makeup you should wear, though. it's all about looking natural this season.
i'm not really sure what you mean by mousey hair. just make sure it's healthy and shiny, though. i like that your hair is extremely layered. straighten it to show them off. use aussie dual personality heat protector + leave in conditioner beforehand. follow with garnier fructis smoothing milk to reduce frizz or flyaways.
clothes. you didn't give much of a discription, but try some bold color. big beaded necklaces are always fun. try layering more than one.
good luck.
::edit::
to help clear your complexion, do what i do. mix equal parts of baby shampoo and baking soda, then add a little salt. use it just like you would a cleanser. use it once a day max. i came up with it 3 days ago, have used it twice, and can already see a big difference in my skin. finish with olay complete SPF 15 moisture lotion. or you could buy the equate version at wal-mart for $2. it works just as well.

okay i gotcha. first of all buy seventeen magazine. they always have really good makeup tips in there. and also the book teenage beauty by bobbi brown. that should have EVERYTHING you need to know.
also dont buy fondation or concealer the wrong color...you look trashy. and dont overdue the eyeliner but you can still wear some. i do.
try tinted moisterizer for you skin to cover up most imperfections while doing something good for your skin. curling your eyelashes can make a world of a difference. and buy an eyeshadow pallete for blue eyes. the right colored concealer can make a world of a difference. lightly pat it on and seal it with loose powder (if you dont put power on it itll rub off almost immediatly. so seal it.) and some lip gloss and blush (light pink or peach) should complete the look.
dont try any advanced techniques like cheekbone countouring or useing really dark shadows until you have the basics down. good luck.
and tanning DOES NOT make acne better. just saying.

I am an amatuer make-up artist, so I am not the greatest at expertise but I suggest using L'oreal Paris True Match for a concealer, but if your looking for a bit cheaper, use Covergirl's TruMatch with a 97% compatability with your skin. Use a nice subtle blush that gives a natural shade to your skin tone. use a peach colored eyeshadow to you give your face a nice bright glow, maybe maybellines dream mousse eyesahdow. apply a thin line of black or brown eyeliner to only the upper eyelid. Finish your look with lash stylist macara which defines every lash, which is best for the bottom lashes. I hope this helps a bit

Well, a little color in the cheeks never hurt anyone. Everyone has acne these days, so don't bother with concealer or anything like that. Mascara is good for cleaning up and broadening eyelashes. Also, since you have blue eyes, if you wanted to play up the color a bit you could put chestnut brown colored tones as your eye shadow. it really brings the blue out. lip gloss or neutral lip stick makes for a classy look, too. just use moderation and hey...
whenever you're home one night, why not experiment with it? trial and error will help you figure out exactly what's best for you.

Oh to be 15!! First of all, easy on the makeup. Carry off that "fresh faced" look as long as you can. I'd go with neutrals to warm colors. Don't worry about being pale, that's better than tanned up in a tanning bed any day. Clothes are best classy. I know you want to be hip, and that's cool, but just keep it to one or two "trendy" pieces with classic pieces (ie jeans, simple shirt, etc.) Don't overload a look. And hair, I'd go to your stylist and ask what style would be best on you. Thin hair looks better in blunt cuts, thicker hair is better longer. Just accentuate your positives :)

I'd say go with a light pink for the eyeshadow. Pink goes well with everything and is a very popular color for eyeshadow. Put eye liner on the top but very lightly on the bottom. ALWAYS wear mascara. Wear foundation to make your skin even; no one likes a pale face. Trust me, I'm extremely pale and it looks great when I wear foundation. Add blush. You'll look great! Good luck.

I am a former mary kay dealer. A mary Kay consultant can give you a free makeover at your home or at their meeting. They are so much fun and the first time I tried it, I fell in love with their makeup. There are many different shades and you cant even tell you are wearing it because it matches your skin color and gives your skin an even tone. A very natural color and not a "mask". Try visiting MaryKay.com and find a local consultant in your area. You'll love it.

If you want to look older choose more Conservative and sophisticated fashions. If more youth full adult look choose fashions that are more eye catching and show off a thinner figure. A glam night club look can be achieved with thicker makeup and even clown makeup will help. Most night clubs are dimly lit so can pull of far heavier makeup without it washing of under weak light.

You can buy a foundation that matches your complexion, if you are buying from a drug store, test it on the back of your wrist and if it blends in with your natural complextion that's the one you buy. But if it's darker or lighter then your skin color that's not the one for you. This should cover any light acne that you have and also even out your skin tone.

I remember using the cooling eye color from maybelline. I also used glitter with gel eyeshadow to make it stick. Lip gloss of any shade. Do you read the teen magazines? I think they help with all of it. My all time favorite way to style my hair is to blow dry it straight and make a middle part in my hair, next I use gel and braid the front sections and fasten with hair ties let it dry and let loose. Set hair with hairspray or the stuff that keeps flyaways gone. I want you to check out this website below.
