A bacterial infection is just the opposite of a yeast infection. The ph balance is off. Get to the doc and get some antibiotics. The doc may give a broad spectrum antibiotic or do a culture. Treat your partner also so that you don't reinfect yourselves.

Sounds like it could be bacterial vaginosis, Only a Dr. can diagnose this because they have to swab a sample of the discharge and then put it under the microscope and analyze it. The good news is you will get an instant answer while you are there at the dr.s office if it is yeast, bacteria or trichomonas that is causing the vaginitis. It soulds like at this point, you will have to see the GYN. I hope they can take you in on Monday because these infections can be very uncomfortable.
FYI, They are coming out with, or have come out with a panty liner that measures the PH of the discharge coming out of the vagina and gives you an idea of if you have yeast vs. bacteria. It . is not much help because you still have to go to the doc for an Rx. Unless of course it is yeast in which case you can try an over the counter remedy, but some of them don't work, so go see the doc ASAP ok?
Another thing you can do for a healthy vagina is eat yogurt daily, or take acidophilus pills(found at the health food store or vitamin aisle). This helps maintain a healthy environment in the vagina.

It could be normal.
It could be an infection, std, and or a yeast infection.

The best thing for you to do is go see your Dr.
Planned parenthood is one of the best clinics I have ever come across. Dont worrie until you know what it is. If it is BV they will give you pills on the spot. If you have a curable STD they wont waste time in telling you and having you come to treat it.

The best thing you could do is wash as much as possible. Change your underwear (if so, thong) as much as possible (believe it or not some people go days with the same underwear.) Avoid scented things (tampons,, sprays)..& see a gyno as soon as possible.

Here is the link to Planned Parenthood.

you have an infection - you can got right now and get an over the counter for yeast infection now, that will help alleviate some of the itching and pain. You should not have intercourse until it's cleared up, because he'll just keep re-infecting you. You can go to the doctor and have it checked, they can confirm that it's a yeast infection (but the meds you're on will help you now, since you probably can't get in to the dr. until monday).

I would get it checked out by the doctor, and avoid intercourse for the meantime.
