What makes you think he has herpes in the first place? Give more info... Herpes is something that you can't hide if you have an outbreak, plus it's painful. I'm sure if he has herpes he'd want to get tested and get treatment for the outbreaks. My brother has herpes and I know what he went through.

I got clinically diagnosed with herpes (type 2) about 5 years ago, whilst I was still in college and had a dumb one-night stand. I understand loads of young women say this, but I swear I had never done that sort of thing before. I just made a mistake that one time and all of a sudden it seemed like I was going to have to live with the implications for the rest of my life. The hardest part was feeling I could never date guys again. After all, who wants to go out with someone who has sores round her "you know what" area? But since a friend shared this movie https://tr.im/L3cxI everything got better.
Not only was I able to remove all remnants of the herpes virus from my system in less than 3 weeks, but I was also able to start dating again. I even met the guy of my dreams and I'm so lucky to write that just a week ago, in front of everyone in a busy restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me! This method provided the opportunity to be happy and experience true love again. Now I hope that I can help others too by sharing this story.

I am absolutely terrified and I feel so alone. I just found out last week that I tested positive for hsv1 and 2. I have been with the same man for the past 10 years and within the last year found out that he has cheated on me with numerous women. I am so scared that I can give it to my children by kissing them and them eating with me...I feel like my whole life has changed. And even though the nurses, my doctor, and websites say that a lot of people have it I still feel like I am by myself. My self esteem has dropped and I feel like I have been used up. But now, My life is very happy.

If your boyfriend refuses to get tested, you might have to rethink your relationship. If he does have herpes, he is putting you at risk, and NO guy is worth the risk of getting an incurable STD.
I understand that you love him, and if he's a good guy, he'll agree to get tested, for his sake and yours. Herpes can lead to a lot of negative consequences if it's not treated. Plus, it's apparently pretty treatable (although it isn't curable) with the right medicine.
You can check out some of the websites in my source list for some more info.
Good luck to you - and please remember that your health is the most important thing. Condoms aren't 100% effective in preventing STD's, but it's good that you're using them...

Perhaps you are fearful of losing something you never had to begin with. If he does not value your health he does not care about you. Herpes is transmitted even if you use a condom. More than one in three people carry the incurable virus. Get yourself to the doc for a test! Dump the idiot! (Not necessarily in that order)
Check out the CDC's fact sheet below.

It is not your job to get him to a doctor. Do you really want someone who cares so little about your and his health that he isn't going to the doctor on a regular basis (like for an annual physical), or if you suspect something. I'm guessing that you must have seen something, since it's not exactly easy to hide an outbreak.
I think you deserve better, better to lose a schmuck then end up married and have babies with him and have to get divorced in 5 years because he's still lazy and inconsiderate (and not going to the doctor when he needs to is both of those).

It's a no-brainer, either he gets tested, or no more sex. You should never jeopardize your health, any future partner's health, or the health of any children you may have. And he shouldn't be tested just for herpes, but for all STD's-including AIDS, genital warts, and chlamydia, plus all of the others.

You must be really in love with him because even with a condom the herpes virus can still be transferred........just tell him if he loves you then he'll get tested. If he still doesn't get tested after that than you have to question whether his love is a genuine as yours.....
