I have an iPod mini with 150 songs. I got the software installed into the new computer (windows xp), and now I'm trying to find out how to get the songs into iTunes. I can't work with any other iPod-player because I have videos and other stuff stored in iTunes. Help?

Your problem is solved. You can always use iDUMP, a software that allows you to transfer your songs of your iPod to a PC. Connect your iPod and run iDump and you'll have access to all your songs, select the songs you want to transfer then pick a destination directory and how you would like your songs to be named. And then sit back and transfer all the selected songs to the PC. After that you can already add them in your music library in iTunes. It is easy to use. =)

The good news is iDump is FREE! Here is the link where you can download the software.

go to www.download.com and download the free software called iDump, which allows u 2 grab music outta ur ipod. although i have never personally tried it, i hear it works fine and best of all, its free.
if that doesnt work then try this:
connect the ipod to ur pc/laptop.
in my computer or windows explorer options, enable the viewing of hidden files and folders.
make sure the ipod is configured 2 b used as a hard-disk as well.
open the ipod in my computer.
there will b a hidden folder called ipod_control (or something like that) sum newer ipods have the foldr named differently.
inside that foldrs there are subfolder and within these folders lie the song files. they are named with a random letters and numbers, so after you've copied them onto ur computer, u'll have 2 rename each one individually. its a pain, but if u rilli want 2 thats how.
PS i donno if this works on the latest ipods, the ones produced b4 early 2006 work, havent tried on a l8r model

you will possibly desire to plug the Ipod into the pc utilising the presented USB cable. If Itunes is put in it many times will open while the Ipod is plugged in immediately. as quickly as Itunes is open you have gotten your library seperate from you Ipod - you are able to pick to manually sync by using figuring out on documents and dragging them to the Ipod. Or figuring out directly to sync the finished library by using clicking on the ipod then clicking the sync button.
