also what mounts need to be changed and if i need to adjust any thing else

you need to change motor mounts and some of the wiring and that is it you dont need to do anything to the suspension it is fine v6 and v8 are the same shocks and springs the transmission will work and all linkage will work

Check around some F150 forums, I am pretty sure the V8s from the other F150s will fit

You will have to beef up your front suspension. Extra heavy duty shocks will work fine. Also your tranny should bolt right up. I would also change the exhaust system to a three inch through out. This will increase the flow and the horse power.

it's quite an undertaking. you will need a complete v-8 motor (all sensors and electronics) new mounts,new wiring harness and new ecm (computer). can be done with good mechanical experience.
