Go to work, can't spend money while I'm working plus when I get done working I don't like to blow my money on something stupid because I had to work for that money. Try this: The new jeans you want cost $60 dollars you get paid $6 per hour, are the jeans worth working 10+ hours for ( don't forget all the taxes)? If yes then go ahead and buy them. This really works for me.

Count your money and count it everytime you add to it. Pretty soon you'll be more interested in seeing the amount go higher than lower.

When buying clothing, if you think you'll be embarassed to wear it in 6 months because it won't be the style, then don't buy it.

Clean your closet, sending cast-offs to the church or shelter. Then count how many outfits you have left. You will realize a month's worth of clothes is enough, especially if you vary the accessories.

Wait a month and go back to see if you really want it. Wait another month after that if you're not sure.

Vow not to spend a penny until all the credit cards are paid for. Then make a goal to pay whole balance every month after that.

Think of something you really need-- a house, a car-- and remind yourself of it when you want to spend money on something else.

either i don't go anywhere or i look at the item and say. Do i really need this? need being the operative word. there is a fine line between need and want
when you find yourself with a new pair of shoes and no gas money or groceries you will understand

The envelope system - put x amount of dollars in individual envelopes labeled for each utility and other expense. Example - if you know your groceries cost $200 a month, put that in an envelope.

I don't get out and I won't go to any sites and buy stuff. I have the same problem I just stay inside and find something to do to keep my mind off it. You can do it. Just answer questions instead. Works for me.
