I agree with lizzy c - Nora Roberts is a great author - i just got done ready a series of three - and my heart still aches because my love life is nothing like it - I guess that is why it is called fantacy!

Check the back - some are more romantic and some are not.

I recommend an oldie (from 1939) called Tryst by Elswyth Thane. It's not long, but very satisfying. Check out the reviews on Amazon, and you'll see it has a devoted following

Nora Roberts is an excellent romance writer (although her books are not always in the 'romance' genre). She offers great characters and real life challenges. Whereas her plots are complex, her talented writing skill makes them easily understandable.

I probably have enough paper back romance/fantasy/mystery books to open my own used book store. Just state what type you like, I have really thick long romance books also. Between my daughter, my mother and myself, we have a huge discount mall size collection...lol

Oldie but goodie:
Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte.
However, it's about 330-50 pages, depending on which copy you get. I know some people wouldn't consider that a "long" book, though.

WriterSpace lets you search by author and genre. You can find what you are looking for. Also try the SuperRomances. The super is for the length.
