Little is known about Silver other than the fact that in Sonic the Hedgehog, he has travelled from the future in an effort to find and stop the Iblis Trigger whose actions will cause a great disaster to occur. Silver apparently believes Sonic is this trigger. Silver will be yet another rival of Sonic, backed by his confirmed playable apperance in Sonic Rivals (which features two other rivals of Sonic; Knuckles the Echidna and Shadow the Hedgehog). Also, Silver's role in the story seems similar to how Knuckles was related to Sonic 3 & Knuckles's storyline.

Silver is just some hedgehog from the future who goes in the past 2 stop sonic from doing something. Silver kind of reminds me of trunks from DBZ.

Silver is a hedge hog from the future searching for a device called the iblis trigger, for some reason he thinks sonic is the iblis trigger. he is not as fast as sonic or shadow but has a phsyonic ability to control and pick up objects.
