you don't have to applaud us -although it is a nice gesture. he got everyone's support here in Manchester since day one. we know that England always looked for a scapegoat when losing a major tournament and that Cristiano was the one to target this time around. he was not the reason why we lost. it is our pleasure TO HAVE one of THE WORLD'S BEST YOUNG PLAYERS IN OUR CLUB and we applaud him for returning to Manchester

DEFINITELY, Manchester United fans must be applauded for their treatment of Cristiano Ronaldo post the WC. Too many instances of players having to leave their clubs because of WC incidents have already occurred. When Argentina beat Italy in the World Cup, Maradona recieved death threats and finally had to leave Napoli, the Italian club which he had led to great success. A Colombian player was shot by a fellow countryman after he lost a game in the WC due to his own-goal. Such incidents are truly sad and it is nice to know that Manchester United have stuck by Ronaldo along with its supporters. Even more encouraging is the fact that Wayne Rooney himself has dispelled rumours of a rift, calming down the atmosphere to a great extent.
Even though Ronaldo will recieve extra hostility from every other crowd in England, it will be comforting to know that he can at least depend on the crowd at Old Trafford to inspir him into form when he is depressed. In that respect, Man U fans must really be appreciated for their tolerance and support of this talented youngster. I am sure that if they continue to show this sort of faith in the lad, he will feel indebted to them and will work his socks off to win trophioes for Manchester United with the kind of loyalty that only Ryan Giggs,Paul Scholes and Gary Neville have shown over the years.

yes, we shld b applauded, cristiano is young and v.v.v.v talented.
so many other players argue with the referee, just coz it meant they had their player sent off in a vital game, the english media got their scapegoat 2 cover their team of chokers (they r a gud team, but r serious chokers).
isnt it interesting that the previous 2 scapegoats were both ManUtd players as well (beckham and phil neville)?

It's a good thing that they support him, but I think it was NOT classy of him to say that he wants to transfer.
