I read an article in a magazine this week and was stunned that Jodie admitted that she was a former Crystal Meth addict.Do you think most child actors end up with some form of addiction?

Yes, it seems most child stars become addicts after they fade out. It's not a surprise. How would you handle it if your life peaked at 13, and you realize one day that the only thing you're good at is starting to fade away? And then someone walks up to you and says, "Hey, want some coke?"

I don't know if most of them do. There are thousands of child actors out there. We do tend to hear about those that have big problems. The news doesn't really report on those kids who don't have problems. I didn't really like Stephanie and I thought that Jodie Sweetin wasn't able act very well. She still tried to do the same things as an older kid as she did when she was little and they weren't cute anymore. Of course that could have just been bad writing. That show wasn't known for high quality writing.

I think its s weird that most bad lil actors turn good but good ones turn bad stephanie was good so yes she does have an addiction I read about it as well.&hearts

Many of them have no childhood. They have an altered sense of reality, and many do not have supportive parents - just parents wanting to use the child as a paycheck.

yes, i seen this thing on drew barrymore and lots of others that had some sort of addiction. i think they do it cause to their young eyes they think its cool and its just another way of them for being who they are. all that pressure and stuff so who knows. even normal people do it.

well to answer your question yes...probably most of them. it's difficult for young kids like that to be in a job like that. they do'nt relaly have time to be a kid..it makes them act more grown up then what they really are.

i heard that, too. out-of-work celebs have nothing better to do when their careers end. they feel hopeless. the girl that played laura's sister judy on family matters became a porn star. she was on oprah talking about it.
