Without a doubt, Peyton "chokes" in big games. He is considered to be one of the best QBs of all time and I think he deserves that with his gaudy stats. He has wonderful receivers in Indy and has been accurate with his rifle arm. I really did not like the way he blamed his O-Line for the Steelers playoff loss, Peyton is too classy a guy to have said that. I really do not think Peyton will ever win the SB, not because he isn't a great QB, because he is. There just seems to be some little something missing here, I don't know what. I groaned and moaned when the Patriots had such a mastery over Peyton and the Colts (and I still believe the Colts got some bad calls in these games), and of course the playoff game last year against the Steelers was a game the Colts probably should have won. You can't blame Peyton for that loss. The missed FG and the tackle Big Ben made on the return of the Bettis fumble contributed greatly to that loss. I think last year was the year the Colts were "supposed" to win and they couldn't. Now without James, I don't see them even winning their division over Jacksonville.

I would rate Peyton Manning as the second best quarterback in the league (#1 - Tom Brady). We know that he can break records and lead his team to the playoffs but he doesn't have a championship win under his belt unlike Tom Brady. Peyton strikes me as an unclutch player and in the playoffs he shows just that by losing to Pittsburgh. (In fact in his career he has never advanced past the conference finals) Even though he can put up big numbers in the regular season, the moment he chokes and can't lead his team to the win; that's when everyone notices and recognizes him.
Peyton Manning will be in the hall of fame but he seems like the type of player that can't perform in big games and in the playoffs you absoluately need clutch players. He won't win a championship.

Well so far the answer to that one has been debated alot, I on one hand would like to see it happen because he is a student of the game and seems to be a classy guy well liked among fans and players throughout the league as well. But he seems to get himself into weird situations in those big games that really mean something and down the tubes it goes. He still has plenty of playing time left to determine whether it will happen or not though, I think it would be killer if him and his little bro went head to head in the big game wouldn't that be awesome. Except for the fact that the Giants are in the Redskins division, oh wait trailing off. And it really isn't too fair to put all the blame on Peyton's shoulders for last years loss to the Steelers, Vanderjagt totally shanked that field goal and we all know that crap. But it still remains that he will need to get to the Super Bowl before he can win it.

Yeah he will he's the best QB in the NFL right now and all those playoff losses were lost by the Colts and not just Peyton so it's not all Peyton's fault but they are still a good football team even without Edgerrin James

Alex L, i like it the style you talk no longer uncomplicated, as in case you recognize something approximately soccer. What grew to become into Tom brady asserting, how grew to become into he working his mouth? coach me evidence, provide me some hyperlinks. And yet another subject, i think that if Marvin harrison performed, the colts nonetheless might have misplaced. Harrison might have taken a number of Addai's recieving yards, so even although theres an further WR, the internet earnings for the offense wouldnt be so super. and as properly, it proves my factor that Peyton is barely as solid as his recievers; eliminate his action picture star WR, and hes a bumbling fool (throwing the sport away at 2:30, what an fool!). i think of it says something that its already 9 weeks into the season, and Tom Brady's worst overall performance grew to become right into a ninety six.8 passer score. The pats no longer basically had to play the colts, yet had to play against the refs besides (2 BS offensive bypass interference calls, a million BS protecting bypass interference that set up an uncomplicated colts TD), and that they nonetheless got here out on genuine. Theres a small threat the pats might desire to flow sixteen-0, yet their best hurdle ultimate is the steelers. The ravens have a somewhat extra effective protection, yet their offense is slacking.

Its hard to say. He is the best quarterback in the game right now. I'd love to see a Giants vs. Colts superbowl, brother vs. brother. I think the Manning has hurt his chance at winning one with his refusal to restructure his contract in the past. The NFL is so competitive now with the salary cap restrictions. If anyone player on a team is making too much money, it makes it almost impossible to field a championship team.

It depends in what type of teams he keeps meeting in the playoffs. If they are offensive than he'll outscore them but if he keeps coming across a great defenses he will lose.Make no mistake a great defense will beat a great offense in most sports...Defense wins championships.

No, he'll end up like Marino. Lots of records, no ring.
Opposing teams got his number at the end of last season.
He's in for a long season this year.
