you can also try applying a brown eyeshadow color as eyeliner with a thin brush. It makes it look more natural!

Three tips:
1. Go to Sally's/Walgreens, get a handheld 10x magnification mirror. Being able to see the details makes a big difference.
2. Blond hair/blue eyes? Try Brown or Black/Brown products. Black may appear heavy because of your natural coloring.
3. Eyeliner woes? Try getting good at just dotting it on across the lids. Then connect the dots. Also invest in a good eyeliner brush, this helped me too.

Sharpen the pencil as much as possible then pull the lid out towards your temple and apply a thin line on your eyelid, or buy a liquid liner with a skinny brush and appy, that works too.

I'm a blue eyed blonde, and I use navy blue eyeliner - the pencil that sharpens itself.
I only do half my eye (upper and lower lid), a very thin line -
right now I"m using lavender and peach eyeshadow, blackish/brown mascara and it's a good combination for the summer.

I have the same problem. I have red hair, green eyes, and light skin, so it does look like a bit much when I put it on my eye lids as well as on the bottom of my eyes. You should try just putting it on the bottom and not on the top. Or you can just try putting a little less on your lids, by press down very lightly. You can also try putting light eye shadow so it will blend more.

use brown eyeliner or eyeshadow with a brush. don't try to apply it in a continuous line but more like dots or dashes close to the lash line. also don't go all the way in to the inner corner of your eye.

use a brown liquid liner. Practice applying only a very thin line. This will bring out your eye color. Dont use heavy black and dont line your lower lid. Makes your eyes look smaller, and its really not that flattering.. :)

Apply the liner kinda in the lash line. Then take you an eyeshadow brush and blend it in. It looks real good. I do it all the time.
