nope. not unless I can afford to hire some lobbyists or can afford to take the senators out to all expenses paid meals or golf outings to Scotland.
Both parties are broken and sold out to special interest groups. Like most other westernized nations, America desperately needs more than just a two party system!

Im not american but to answer your question I can give you my subjectivity about US and its politic. I think that USA is a plutocracy. The politicians is elected with the support from anyone that spend money on there campain. That means that companys can buy a political candidate to speak for them. Think about it. Why would any company want to spend money on a political candidate ? Charity ? No way companys never do anything unless they belive they can earn money on it. Its an investement for them.

Another side of the representation is that you elect a winner rest of the candidates and voters doesnt have a representation . lets say that in one race the winner gets 34 % of the votes and thats the highest number that means that its 66 % that will not have any candidate that they can track there vote to. I dont find that good.

last pres election Bush got a total around 60 million votes . If one estimate that US population is around 300 million that group represent around 17 - 18 % of the total population . So it takes around that percent of the population to found a majority vote .

No one except the corporations are being represented.

We need to vote out ALL the professional politicians and try to find decent, honest people will to serve in congress.
